When did you move to the Northern Territory?
I moved to the Northern Territory in October 2018. I had been in London for 10 years and was starting to feel a little burned out. I came to Darwin on a two-week holiday and enjoyed it so much that I applied for my Working Holiday Visa as soon as I returned home. I was amazed at how laidback and happy the NT residents were – it’s a completely different pace of life to what I was used to.

What is your occupation now?
I work for the Local Government in a staff training and development role.

Since coming to the NT what’s the most amazing thing you have experienced?
Flying over Kakadu National Park in a helicopter, or getting a chance to visit and work in Arnhem Land.

Darwin is a unique place with a tropical lifestyle that is incomparable to anything I had previously experienced living in the UK. It has a vibrant and welcoming community with endless places to visit and explore. Plus, the best Laksa outside of Asia!
